I just checked a website for an anthology I submitted to about 3 months ago. I figured maybe all the notifications had gone out and I’d overlooked a rejection in my inbox and it was time to start resubmitting. Happily, I was mistaken. They had just posted that “anyone who hasn’t been contacted yet has made it to the next round of consideration.” That’s always good news, no matter how it goes from there!
UPDATE: So, I got my rejection notice today. No big deal. I’ve resubmitted the piece…as per my philosophy, I’ve sent it to a place that pays 5 cents a word. Fingers crossed!
